Will Dual boot Machine Joins in Domain.?

We have a Dual boot System with XP and cent OS, We have configured different IP address for both. Now I have to ping this Dual boot System from other Computer when Xp is Loaded. But its not pinging. can Anyone pls suggest how can i ping or connect this Dual Boot XP with other Computers in my organization ?

You should be able to ping the dual boot pc when XP is started. If you've installed the latest service pack on that machine, the Windows Firewall is active by default and in that case, pinging that machine is denied. So you have to check the Windows firewall settings for that.
