My INTELLINET USB WIFI ADAPTER (http://www.intellinet-network.com/html/521499.htm) lose it's connection to my router when CPU is at high load (decode video, rendering, processing a big RAR file, or any task cpu consuming) When the processor is free, it reconnects with no problem.

Unfortunatelly, there's no process associated with the WiFi card to set it to a priority higher than normal(except the svchost.exe, for the RPC which cannot change priority at task manager)

Is there anyway to tell OS to leave, let say, 10% of cpu process to the USB ADAPTER or something like that? or some 'QoS but for Processor' ?

Just to add, the router is not disconnected, just the usb card not handling the connection while cpu is used by some other process.

My cpu usage is at ~2% when idle.

I'm and very experienced OS user, excellent network, services, process, configuration, you name it.

I'm wondering if there's a fix or a workaround for this issue.

thanks in advance,

bart
