How to setup wifi win server 2003

I instralled non-supported windows standard server 2003 to Dell vostro 220s for non-production purposes, where I can play with some old version apps etc at home.

I replaced wifi card with 3945ABG (originally work with dell laptops), and found the xp driver worked with server 2003. It finds my home wifi immediately. But nomatter what I try, it always tell me my password entered wrong, The "error msg" was:
The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depends on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters.

My wifi password has length 8, not 5 or 8. Does this means I have to change my wifi network password? It doesn't my sense to me....

I googled for the instructions of wifi setup on win server 2003. Found that people talking about security group setup etc.

So my question is: Do I must configure security group to make wifi work on windows 2003 server? Any easy to follow procedure for windows server 2003 wifi setup/configuration?

Thanks for your help!

You need to install the service packs (at least SP1) for the wireless to work with WPA.

This is included in SP1:
