WI-FI not enabled?

Ok I dont no what is going on I have a linksys wirless router 802.11b
and I have it attached to my desktop computer which is hooked up wired
and i got a laptop which is hooked up wirless, For some reason my Wireless
Network wont connect I notice I need to enable the "Radio" but when i I do
that it says this "The radio on your 802.11 network adapter is still disabled.
Use the hardware radio control switch enable it." I got no idea what
that is... plz help heres a couple of images of what it looks like...

Also just to calrify it a bit more I just want to enable the "Radio" I believe they mean the Radio Waves also known as WI-FI. when I right click on the taskbar image and it says "Enable" but when I click that it says "The radio on your 802.11 network adapter is still disabled.
Use the hardware radio control switch enable it."

Go to Device Manager and select your wifi card. One of the tabs or buttons here is to turn the card on.

You could have a hardware conflict which you would also have to resolve in Device manager.

Im in Device manager but I still cant figure it out...

Here are the options under Netowrk Adapters

1394 Net Adapter (Enabled)

Broadcom 440x 10/100 Intergrated Controller (disbaled)

IEEE 802.11g Network Adapter (Enabled)


Plz help...

I got more info to help...

My wireless network problem I need to get my internet back up on my laptop the error says I need to enable the radio I got a linksys wireless router 802.11b and I got a 802.11g network adapter the name of it is broadcom and here is an image of the error message i get http://majinpicollo.tripod.com/problem.html

Hi,

When I got the same error message and searched on internet then I found you having the same issue.. This applies to notebook with integrated wireless adapter..

By "hardware radio control switch"--> it means that there is one of the function keys (for example F2 in case of compaq notebook), which is designed to physically enable/disable your wireless adapter. Find that function key for your notebook and press "Fn" Key + that function key togther.. you should see the light comming on to the wireless indicator.
