WiFi not detected in some machines

Hi all,

I am using Nokia Siemens router. Recently there is an hack on the network. So I changed the security by enabling WPA2-PSK and AES and mac filter enabled. After that two of my roommate machines are not getting connected to WiFi. Even I cant see ssid being detected in thier machines.

Please suggest us how to connect to the machines. I have tried by removing security also but those two machines cant even detect the network being broadcasted by us. But it is detecting other networks(neighbors wifi).

Thank you in advance

Try turning off the router, then back on so it resets itself to default settings.
Wait until all router lights are showing normal and connected to internet.
Now see if those two laptops can see that router.

Bear in mind also that, even if a laptop can successfully "see" your router, that laptop's wifi may not be compatible with WPA2 in which case it won't be able to connect to it. In that case, you need to change your router's wireless security type to either WPA or WEP to make it compatible with the laptop's wifi device. This problem is more common on older laptops built before WPA2 was introduced.

Another thing to remember is that some older laptop's wifi adapters aren't compatible with mac filtering either.
