Specs: Windows 7
My wireless connection was working fine till
about a couple of days, where the connection
gets severed (wifi-connected, but no
internet)....after a while, the internet comes back,
but this process keeps repeating.

Some things to try:

Look in the event viewer for error messages.
Reboot everything.
Move the router. Sometimes a few inches makes a difference.

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

Take a look at the routers log.
There you can see, whether the router itself lost the connection to your ISP.
If so, you may have to ask your ISP, whether they have problems with some internet connections of their customers.

Are you on ADSL? if so, try replacing the ADSL filter.

What type of router do you have? i.e. what's the make and model? you may need to install a firmware upgrade on your router.

Is your ADSL filter connected directly into the phone line, or via an extension? if you use an extension try and take it out of the equation.

If you use ADSL and share the telephone line with other devices, i.e. telephone, fax, Sky TV, modem, ensure that each telephone line has an ADSL filter installed. If you have a line without a filter, disconnect the device attached to it, and see if this resolves the problem.

Hope this helps.
