hi everyone,
i'm having a problem with a low wireless signal and i'm trying to find a good and cheap solution to expand the range of my PCI wireless card, i was thinkinig to buy the d-link ANT24-0700 2.4GHz Omni-Directional 7dBi Indoor Antenna, my question is, Can i connect this antenna directly to the PCI wireless card instead of the router???
Thanks everyone.

You must connect it to the device or devices you need to amplify. In most cases the signal is bad at both ends not just one side. A directional antenna may fix it at either side but for best results you may need both sides with a directional or gain antenna. Assumes a lot of things too. You can overshoot and get too many signals.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

You won't believe it if i tell you that the entire problem is just a matter of few meters, i mean if i place my pc at the corridor the signal will be consistent and the whole problem would be solved, what can you recommend so that i can amplify the signal on my pc not on the access point?
