Right now I get my internet through my wireless card and want to connect VIA ethernet to a switch which has a network attached storage hooked into it.
When I plug in my cable instantly firefox goes dead and trys to load pages through the ethernet instead of the wifi. Because there is no internet coming off the ethernet it times out. How can I tell my computer to send all internet requests through my WiFi?!
I can't I need the lan to connect to the Network Attached storage. and I also need the wireless to get the internet. (the lan isn't connected to the internet just a switch with a network attached storage)

The internet connection is selecting the wired because of a gateway entry in the wired config???? Post ipconfig /all before and after.

Hey, have a look at my setup in the picture below.
After booting up XP I just right click on the wireless icon on the taskbar choose repair and it sorts out the internet connection then both the wireless internet and intranet work at same time.
Do you want PC's on your intranet to be able to access the internet as well?
