Solved WiFi Adapter Not Found On Dell E6510 Laptop

Specs: Windows 7
i bought this laptop from my cousin last year on my birthday, the WIN 7 ultimate was installed thing is, it wasn't genuine, but everything worked perfectly including the Wifi adapter, then it would not load up, me thinking i was some kind of computer nerd, i tried rebooting and messing with things i probably shouldn't have messed with, but it still would not load properly so what i did was install a genuine WIN 7 home edition which loaded up great, but there was no wifi adapter, and when i tried the Dell website and downloaded the driver, it said it was "blocked" when i tried to install it into the computer and would not download successfully, what can i do to fix this? because i am about ready to break this thing.

Probably too hopeful but download the driver again and Save it rather than running it in the browser. Right click the saved file/folder and select Properties. In the General tab see if there is an Unblock button. If so hit it then Apply/OK your way out and try running the file offline.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Checking the Dell site, there are 7 network drivers available - 2 for ethernet, 5 for wireless. You need to find out exactly which wi-fi card you have so you can select & download the correct driver. Once downloaded, double click on the file & it will unpack into a dell drivers folder in the root directory. You may have to go to the dell folder to find the driver & run the executable from there.
