ok.... this has happened twice to me now and i really dont know how to fix this. When i go to a certain hotel, somehow the network protocols of that hotel mess with my computer to the point that now, itll connect to any network jsut fine, but wont get webpages. i cant ping out farther than the gateway. ive checked netbios and all tcp/ip settings. i reset internet explorer and tried firefox. i made sure all DCHP dependencies were good, and nothing. any help?

Let us make some assumptions here.

You have a laptop (or some other mobile device) with wireless capabilities?

You are accessing wireless networks within range?

The networks appear and allow you to connect but no WAN data transfers can be achieved?

These networks all allow you access? i.e. you're not a random getting a piggyback ride.

Boot into safe mode with networking and see if you can get a connection
