Why does my network die?

I have a wireless network on windows 2000 pro and my computer likes to lose the connection to the wireless router whenever I go on certain websites (normally ones with lots of flash) or when i do certain tasks that may use up that little extra bit of RAM. this doesn't happen because I run out of RAM as I now have a gig of it and i thought this would fix the problem but it hasn't. i also find that once the task has been done or i have left a website that causes this to happen my network connection will come back. this is really annoying and any help would be great.

It sounds like virus or spyware. Try to check all of your harddisks with a small tool named STINGER (Networks Associates) or something like that. You'll find this little tool at: http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/stng259.exe
Configure the tool to also check boot sectors.
