Why do I have to keep flushing DNS

Comment:
I have a netgear DG834 wireless router and on the Utility warehouse(go plus) broadband. The trouble is that the router keeps freezing or the internet keeps going down. Been in contact with their support and reset some of the settings and ok for a while and then goes again. Yesterday the broadband ok and today frozen. What ive have to do often to get it back is do in the DNS command below
NETSH INT IP RESET RESETLOG.XXX and IPCONFIG/FLUSHDNS
Can anyone help why this is happening and is there anyway that I can sort it cos its driving me mad. If it has any effect at all I play on line game WOW a lot. Dont know if that helps at all.

sounds like you are on a wild goose chase. connect directly pc to internet and engage the windows firewall for protection. Do you stay connected or not? If connected issue is the router. If not its the service or your pc.
Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?

Wanderer is right, you need to test whether it's router, Internet or PC problem.
You can also use the free DNS servers that provided by OpenDNS instead of those provided by your ISP, it's free to use..
