Specs: XP HOME
I have an older HP PAVILION ze4805us . Tried every driver update available. It will connect to WIFI with aftermarket USB type devices.

Probably too simple but I once found that doing Windows driver update from Device Manger (under Network adapters) turned up one that worked - on an unsupported Win 98 operating system too. It was not a Broadcom but it's still worth a quick try.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks for the reply Derek. My dumass finally figured out that my DNS server address was wrong. Put the correct one in and....WALA! Now I have another dumb question to ask. I want to put Windows7 on it, but can't because I have AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+ CPU. What can I upgrade to for it to handle new OS?

Good to hear you sorted it. Best post your CPU question on the hardware forum, you'll probably get more takers there and get the right guys for that query.
