Comment: Help! I cannot get access to my employer's VPN anymore. I am located in Europe and since January 1st, my IP number was changed to be within the range that corresponds to my geographic location. I am in the 84.x.x.x range now and I cannot get VPN access anymore to our server in the US. I can access other VPNs in the US fine. It turns out that all IP addresses starting with 84 (my geographic region) cannot telnet to our server in the US, other IP addresses are fine. The ISP in the US says that they are not blocking my IP address. Can the 84.x.x.x addresses be blocked by an intermediate server? How can I find out where my IP address is blocked? The tracert does not complete even from computers that can connect with telnet, so that does not seem to help. Who can help me and tell me how I can find the server that is blocking my IP or how I solve this (I cannot move to another geograhic location).

Reply: (edit)I am having a similar problem. HX: I am a webmaster and have several clients. All of them are being hosted by IPOWERWAEB.com, I use Cute FTP to upload and download all my site changes. Recently I went to upload a large amout of information on one particular site and I received a time out error. It now appears that I am blocked. I am able to ping and tracert through DNS Stuff yet I can not ping through my command mode, I continue to receive time outs. It appears that no one is "bright" enough to help me figure this one out at Ipower or Global Escape. Any suggestions, This clients site has been totally down for several days and hel is screaming bloody hell at me.
