what do you mean which one is faster? they are completely differnet things
http stands for hyper text trasnfer protocal and ftp stands for file trasnfer protcol and its peer to peer
http is used for web sites meanwhile ftp is used for trasnfering files between two locations

I'd say it just depends on how many people are downloading from the server, location of server, and how much bandwidth they have available for either one to be fast.
