Comment:
I don't know anything about networking. I have two pcs, both running win98se, both with network cards, both with dial-up modems (no such thing as adsl or high speed internet around here). I want to hook things up so one computer can talk to the other, share peripherals/internet hookup and so forth. What do I need to do? A simple phone line between the two network cards? Or do I need a router or hub or some such?

read 'how-to' @ www.duxcw.com on 'network two computers', you use a network card in each, a crossover cable between them and use software like ICS to share the internet. it works here for me, Al
