|That sounds as if the system can't find a driver for the device enp3s0. What NIC do you have and does it work? But are you sure that you should be using the "plumb" option? I've only heard of it with reference to Solaris, not Linux.|
(@phil22 - yes the OP does mean "ifconfig".)
Edit: It would also be helpful to know which version of Linux you are using and what exactly you are trying to do. Network configuration is different for different distributions; you should rarely need to use "ifconfig" directly.
