What you want to look for is features in a router you can use.
For example I am real happy with my netgear WNDR3700 with a netgear wireless usb dongle. 300mbps is fantastic! And dual band 5g and 2.4g puts me ahead of the curve.
But then I am an IT guy so you may not need those perks.
I would suggest you start by going to newegg or bestbuy online. Look at the prices and determine your budget. Then look up reviews of the products to choose which appears to be best for you.
