Assigned a new IP this morning. I am gettin packets EVERY second from alsorts of ip's to tcp port 2008. Done a google with no understandable results. Could someone please help explain to me why i am gettin these. Done a full AVG & Ad-Aware scan & also have HijackThis.

"conf" - are you using any instant messenger programs? I'm assuming 'conf' is referring to conference but don't know.

Been using Trillian for 2 weeks, MSN & Yahoo messenger clone. These packets only started since i got my new IP this morning. Turned on PC 7:40am, the time now is 15:30pm & they are still coming EVERY second. Conf is configuration, but what configuration? This has got me totally baffled.
