|Normally this pausing is caused by the server side. Don't forget, data travelling to your PC across the internet contends with everybody elses data as it passes through routers. Most routers are FIFO (first in, first out) so your data has to always wait it's turn in queue.|
Also, if the server itself is busy, that will affect how quickly a page loads.

These steps are also valid for troubleshooting issues with non-wireless routers.
