Solved Want to use a router as a wireless access

I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with Model Number WRT54G2 V1 and I want to use this as a wireless access point, but I want all other features disabled. I don't want it assigning IPs and interfering with our other router or even want to use the ethernet. Basically, I want it to work as an airport and just that. I was wondering if there is any way to set it up like that.

Yes there is a way. For more information on how to do that, click on my name above in my response and read my "how-to" guide titled, "Add a second Router to your LAN".

You'll want to use the scenario where you connect the switches "LAN port to LAN port" and use a single subnet.

I am the captain of my soul.
