What is the complaint? No internet connection is constant. They always have ups and downs in their performance. If you are referring to activity on your system and bandwidth in use then I would suspect you have spyware or some other infection in your system. Download and install Spybot and Ad Aware. Update them and then check your system. Are you using a firewall on your network? You might not have been using the Internet, but WinMX was. Since it is a peer 2 peer file sharing network over the network it is doing things on your PC as long as it is running. It claims it is not spyware, but if it send information outside of your PC and responds to queries from people around the Internet I treat it as such. If you configured it to allow people to access your files by accident then expect bandwidth usage.
