W2K ICS Problems

Last night, I upgraded two computers from Win ME to W2K. Prior to that, the two computers have been working fine on the network (file AND internet sharing). Now that I have W2K Professional on the computers, I can only share files and printers. Only one computer is able to access the internet through my cable modem. I am using a D-Link router along with the two computers and the cable modem. A lot of sites I've visited keep saying I need to go to Network and Dial Up Connections and then right-click on my connection to the internet. I do not have a link for that since I use a cable modem. How can I get both computers to use the one cable modem connection in Windows 2000 Professional? I've been up all night and morning and I'm all out of ideas!

Check your IP settings. Make sure the W2K box still has TCP/IP and the services. Is your router set to for dynamic IP (DHCP)? Is the W2K box set for automatically receiving IP (DHCP)? If that fails, try running the ICS again with the W2K boxes.
