I need help to configure cisco swtich 3750 & cisco 3500, are they able to interconnect as VTP domain/member? Can cisco 3500 be managed by core switch 3750?

The 3750 can certainly be part of a vtp domain as a client or server . The 3500 depends on whether it is a 3550 or an old 3500XL which I am not sure supports vtp . What do you need to know ?

The cisco 3500-XL is using IOS ver12.0(5). I just need to know if it is possible to setup this switch be part of client member of VTP domain of Cisco 3750? does it work if I setup any port as trunk mode encapsulation dot1q to connect to cisco 3750?

It should work just make sure the domain name is the same and the trunk parameters are the same on both sides, the 3750 would be the server and the 3500xl would be the client .

I had a bad experience that last time I configured 3500xl trunk mode, I set it up and put it into channelgroup, right after I killed two other stack switches of that channelgroup, caused network down for an hour.... now I need to do it carefully, can you show me the steps to configure 3500xl be a client of VTP domain and trunk mode setup?

Are you talking trunking or are you talking ehterchanneling ? You say channel-group then you say trunking so I am not sure which it is . This should help in your prep work.
