Please help....

I have set-up my server as a RAS. The problem is the logging in stage. I can tunnel to my RAS from a PC accross the internet no problem, thats once im in windows with a local user account and connecting the VPN. But as soon as i log out with the local user account and then once at the dialog box to supply user name and password, i place a check mark in the dial-connection first check box and it connects to my VPN, but after it has authenticated me on the network it then tells me that the user name i have specified or password or domain is invalid. The account i have created on the server has a roaming profile, but the coputer isnt actually on the domain, i renamed the PC from "workgroup" to my domain name, and also on my server i created a computer account for it. I didnt think you would have to physically join the PC to the domain. Also i have noticed that when im in Windows and i have connected my VPN, i run ipconfig /all and it doesnt have a DNS Server of the VPN connection and the default gateway is also the IP address of the remote machine. I.E. The VPN connections IP Address was 191.168.0.18 and the gateway address was also 191.168.0.18.

Please anyone got any clues?

joining a computer into a domain via vpn is not easy. as you mentioned "I didnt think you would have to physically join the PC to the domain." if this is laptop, bring it to the office and join the doamin first. if it is desktop, try to connect the vpn first change to the domain name and then re-boot it.

Check your Routing and Remote access configuration. I beleiev there is a seperate configuration there to allow access to network resources. Also check to see what IP addresses it is set to vend, if any.
