VPN over proxy

Hello, i am at univeristy, i have port 80 and 443 open and i have found out that i can have a VPN to my home computer via port 443, does anyone know if you can have a VPN through a proxy server? i think the universities servers might be linux as they use squid cache or something.....if that is any help!! please help! thanks in advance!!

U can use some Remote Access programs to access your home computer ... I dont think that their will be IP issuses and all..

ok, thanks, i just contacted remotePC support asking them if it will still work over this network! i only have ports 80 and 443 open here!!!!!!!!!! with remotePC do you think i can connect my xbox from university to my home network and let it connect through there to the internet? any other ideas please help!! all i want is my webcam and xbox to connect!!! thanks again!!
