vpn over linksys router work around

I can setup a vpn server using xp pro built in vpn software but I am behind a linksys router. Is there any kind of work around. Will putting my comp on the dmz work?

I don't think that router will let setup a DMZ, if you want a DMZ just take out the router and connect you XP box directly to the internet, XP does have a PPPoE client if you need it.
I just did it here. VPN over a Linksys 1 port router connected to 16port switch with a bridge over to another 8port switch. DMZ to point to your server and you should be fine.
