VPN keeps disconnecting

I have a VPN set up (using the Create New Connection Wizard in WinXP) between the office and my boss's home computer, but her VPN connection drops after a few hours.
Everything worked fine for months, and this has only started happening recently. No changes have been made to our routers, and no programs or changes have been made to the server or client computers.
Any suggestions on what may be causing the problem?

Sounds like dhcp lease expiration/renewal
time it too see if it is at exact intervals or intermittent and come back with more details.

We have a one-line batch file that runs every night on the VPN client. The command is just a simple copy command to transfer a 1GB backup file from our server to the VPN client. According to the user, the VPN connection terminates sometime after the transfer ends.
Gururug, I took your advice under consideration and then thought that maybe assigning static IP's to VPN clients would be better than using DHCP. If it is an IP expiration/renewal issue hopefully the client won't get disconnected anymore. I'll post again if the issue continues. Thanks for your advice!
