Hi,
I encountered a problem regarding VPN connection to remote server. The VPN (Cisco) is installed in one of the machine, however once the VPN is run the machine unable to access the local network and Internet. And connection to internet is crucial for operation.
How can I solve this problem ? the possibility of changing configuration in remote VPN server is very unlikely since they do not want to expose their network.
Does dual NIC in VPN client will solve the issue ?

Dual NICs cause more problems than they are worth. Review the documentation by Cisco.

a second nic would not accomplish anything for you. Its the vpn config doing its job making a secure tunnel. You need to see what options are available. For example rras allows a couple of types of vpn.
the BEST vpn though is done at the router/firewall. I use sonicwalls for this. VPN client authenicates to the vpn router then has access to logon to the network.
