VPN Drops Hamachi Connection

Hamachi is in the 5.x.x.x subnet and the only way of bridging my network to the other network is through VPN connection, since my partner already has Routing and Remote Access configured.
Now locally, Whenever I establish a VPN Connection to my Hamachi's partner IP Address, it makes a successful connection, but Hamachi loses connection and then my VPN Drops.
How do I exclude Hamachi from the VPN connection, so that Hamachi is still on the local Internet?

Your question makes no sense. Why would you want to "exclude" hamachi from the vpn when that is how you are connecting to the other network so you can use hamachi?

No wanderer, you did not read my question properly. I am not talking about the Hamachi VPN. I am talking about regular VPN or to make it any clearer, the PPTP VPN Feature built into Windows.
All I am trying to do is use Hamachi to connect to the Other network from my network.
Problem is, Hamachi creates its own subnet and I can't find a way of changing that unless my partner has Routing and Remote Access enabled.
But, Hamachi disconnects when I establish the VPN connection. My question is how do I NOT make Hamachi disconnect?
