A W98 client computer sucessfully connects to a W2K Lan using a MS VPN adaptor with the tcp/ip setting: "use default gateway on remote network" checked. As a result connection to the internet on the client computer with the VPN adaptor is disabled. I do not want to uncheck the "use default gateway" option because it enables use of PC Anywhere sessions to connect using only static IPs of the LAN computers - i.e. there is no need to have PC Anywhere further scan a subnet to find the IP of the LAN's internet connection. How can I have both an internet connection on the client computer while retaining the benefits of easy PC Anywhere access that the VPN's "use default gateway" setting provides? Should I be considering a 2 NIC solution with Internet sharing- if so how?
