Hiya all, again. lol.
I will start with the configuration.
I have a Server at home, running Windows
Server 2003, with a VPN connection. I have
set the server up with a Domain, DNS, DHCP and an Active Directory so all the users can log onto any of the computers in the house with the same user
name and password. Now, if I take my laptop
over to my mates house, I need to be able to
log on to the domain. I figured if I used VPN
I could. So when I login to my laptop, I tick
the box that says "log on using a dial up
connection". I then log on to the VPN and I
am logged in :-)Now this is where its starting to bug me
slightly. When I surf the web, stream music
or download files, the internet speed is
around 650Kbps. Is there a way to use the VPN
so that it provides me with the network
resources I need, but then allows me to use
my mates internet connection for the web.Basically, I want to use the VPN to access
only the network resources at home and have
all other traffic come through my mates
internet connection when I am over my mates.
Is this possible?Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :-)

To make that work, you will probably have to change your VPN configuration on the client around.
You'll need to route all traffic for the ports you want not on your network when on the VPN to the ISP that you want to utilize. What VPN client are you using to connect?
Thanks for any input.

I am using the WIndows VPN connection. So how would I route the traffic. Sorry, I am a novice at this stuff. Thanks for your help :-)

You have to enable split tunneling feature, check the following links to get more ideas:

Hope it helps..
