I set up vpn in windows xp, the built in one. I am connected and there were no problems along the way. Now that I am connected and trying to ping the server (xp) i can't. I also cannot remote desktop or accessed shared files. My Internal IP of the server is 192.168.1.105. The VPN ip range is 192.168.1.50 - 192.168.1.99. Currently the server is .50 and the laptop i am trying to connect with is .54. I'm port forwarding 7723 to 192.168.1.105. What am I missing??? Please help I am going crazy. I don't understand how the VPN can connect and I cannot do anything.

Hey, I meant that I am forwarding 1723 to the server ip which is now 192.168.1.200. So now the vpn ip ranged is 192.168.1.2 - .99 the dhcp range is 192.168.1.100 - .199. Then i gave the .200 to the server trying to avoid any ip conflicts. Still the same deal, vpn is connected no problem but can't ping, remote desktop, share files/map network drive. What could be the problem???? I am F'N LOST!
