I have successfully set up a VPN with Windows
2000 Advanced Server and various Windows clients.
The VPN uses TCP/IP, IPX, and NetBEUI. The
one thing that is not working is lan games
(IPX and/or TCP/IP).

Between clients, a game cannot be seen.
Between the server and clients, a game can
be seen. The only way to connect two clients
is by explicitly providing the IP address of the
client-hosting, however not all games
support this.

It is my feeling that lan games broadcast their
presence on the lan, but the VPN
restricts this.

Any ideas for a workaround or actual
solution? I thought maybe using the VPN
server as a WINS server might help, but so far
it hasn't.

Many TIA

Fritz
