I have a client-gateway VPN set up using SEVPN and a Symantec Firwall/VPN 200R. The VPN authentication works fine, however I am trying to find out how I can authenticate the user on the Windows NT domain on our local network. I can ping the machines on the network through the VPN, just cannot access any shares due to not being authenticated on the domain. Any pointers appreciated...

Wins baby, Wins. You have to love Microsoft for that. or Lmhost file either way you need for someway to resovled Netbios in IP address.
Here is another thing you can use PPTP server and then setup your clients on there windows machines PPTP client, now with that you might not need Wins or LMHOST files to bring up the domain authentication.
