I recently set up a VPN Link
The VPN server was done using the Win XP build in feature. Also the client pc uses win xp.
All went well and sucessfull, the pc's connected to each other and I was able to browse the remote pc by using \\pcname
how can I set the pc's so that they are both visible in My network Places?

You can't do it with Win XP...in order to see the PCs in your network place through VPN you need a Server (like Win2k, or Win 2003 Server) running WINS.
