Hi there,
I have installed two XP machines (one Pro, one Home) along with Service Pack 1a on a network.
The problem is, I can use VNC Viewer to see other machines from these fresh installs but from other machines (e.g. Win 2003 SE) I can't view into the new installs. The problem maybe something to do with the security features in SP1a but I'm unsure how to go about solving my problem.

First make sure you're using the same version of VNC. Recently realvnc took over the old version, and the new version is backwards compatable. That means you can use the new viewer to connect to an old server, but you cannot use the old client to connect to a new server. So goto www.realvnc.com to download the newest version. The second thing is the server must be running to connect to it. Make sure you installed the server correctly on the boxes you cannot view.
