I recently upgraded to Vista, and since then, my wireless internet has had terrible issues with rubberbanding and lag spikes. Whether it be just on the internet browser, or while gaming online, about every 30 seconds I get a 3-5 second rubberband/stall, and when it is done stalling, it superspeeds to catch back up to where it should be. This is terribly annoying. Especially when it says my connection is Very Good-Excellent all the time, and my Mbps is very high.

I am using a Linksys N-Band router and a Netgear USB Wireless Adapter. When I ran XP, I never had troubles with this type of problem. Both are fully updated on firmware and drivers.

I have done everything I have been able to find on the internet on trying to fix this, but none of it seems to work. If anyone has had this problem in the past, or knows how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate any tips.

I am pretty close to just formatting the hard drive again and sticking with XP.

I would look at the event viewer first. Start, run, type eventvwr.msc amd press enter.
