Comment:

I have tried the following P2P applications on my new Vista laptop: Kazaa, Limewire, Bitlord, Ares, WinMX. None will work - my internet connection just fails. I have ruled out my home router being the cause by trying it on another home network. In both locations I can browse the internet with no problems however as soon as I start an application of this type the connection drops out. Has Vista got a built-in feature that is preventing these applications from working? In some instances the applications are warning me that incoming TCP connections are not permitted - how can I change this setting? Please help!

I forgot to mention that I have unblocked the applications on Windows Firewall and my McAfee Security Centre.
