i CAN ping either way, but when it comes to transferring files, it it so slow. the NICs connect at 100mbps. i swapped a 3c509b 10mbps isa card on both pc's and the problem is still there. any file bigger than 10mb and i lose the network. any idea on this? do i need to put a gateway? thanks.
