how do i refresh my verizon router's IP address in the settings? can anyone tell me how to get there, and what i need to change? i use windows 7, and when i do ipconfig/release then renew, it doesn't give me a new address. it only gives me the old one back.

Why do you want to change the IP address?

What do you hope to achieve?

It a normal for a router to return the same IP address, there is no reason to do otherwise.. The only time it is likely change is another device is added to the net work. The is absolutely no reason to change the IP address.

There is no way because there is no requirement for it. Why design something into a device that has absolutely no use at all. There is nothing to be gained changing private IP address every time you renew the DHCP lease..

Doing an ipconfig /release & renew wouldn't change the routers IP address anyway, it would change the computer's IP address.
