If I connect just the DSL modem to my computer, everything works fine but when I hook up my Linksys BEFW11S4 with 3 other computers, it keeps getting disconnected every 10 mins or something. Have anyone expereince this before? The router's setting is defualt at this point, tried resetting, reconfiguring, no lucky. Any other thoughts? thanks. By the way I tested the router next door, whom has Cable connection and it works fine.
I think you should read up on how to configure the modem to act as a pass through. The web based setup on the modem ought to show how. Then use the router to access your account. You might setup what is called a smart connect if the router supports it. Be sure you also check your modems and ISP's settings for any odd setting.

Those Westell modems have a web inteface just like linksys routers. To access it, you have to plug the cat5 directly to the modem and use the browser the same way you would to open the web interface of the router. Tech support will walk you through if you don't know how to do it.
