I have IIS and 9106 router configured for forwarding port 80 for web service. When i request the Home page, the remote computer display the login of the my router. Why ?

The port forwading will only work for page requests outside the network so from inside the LAN port 80 will goto the router's web interface (but this is changed to 8080, outside) and not the web server.

From outside the LAN though the port forward for TCP 80 will take place and the web server should work.

I've got this happen on my 9105 router...you can get around this by either using http://webserverhostip or by making your browser go through a proxy server then you will be able to view the web site internally.

the http://webserverhostip will probably fail if you use full qualified hostnames in the server scripts. A good and fast workaround for that is:
On a windows machine, put the ip address plus the hostname.domain in the file %winroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Put this information in the /etc/host file on a unix/linux box.
