Using PPPoE on Linksys router

hi i have a linksys wireless-g broadband router and everytime i go into the settings and switch it to use PPPoE the page turns white and freezes. i've tried udating the firmeware and everything but still no luck.anyone know what i can do to fix this?? thanks

You can check, whether your router is supported by DD-WRT firmware.
I use this firmware by myself on a LinkSys WRT54G and it works great.

I thought you could only use the third party firmware on the WRT54GL (with the L being the designation for Linux based firmware)??

We just bought a few of the 54GL's at work to test out and I put Tomato firmware on them. Works really good and full of features you can't get on the standard Linksys firmware.

If you follow the link, you'll see at the very bottom of the page links to half a dozen other 3'd party firmware's...including the DD-WRT which I've also heard good things about.

Yepp, right, WRT54GL !!!
The DD-WRT is based on the original firmware but comes with alot more options.

I saw the screenshots of the tomato firmware.
Looks nice.
Maybe I will one of my routers and give it a try.
