Hey there,

I got a Thomson TCM425 cable modem, and it has both USB & Ethernet.
I got 2 computers.
One is connected to the modem via the USB.
I use a type of dialer to connect to the internet (Some kind of virtual dialer, I just click Connect and it verifies username & password and registers my name on the network, something like that...)

I want internet on my other computer aswell, and I don't really want to buy a hub/switch/router for that. 1st computer doesn't have a network adapter so I can't use cross-over cable and ICS.

I connected the other computer to the modem's ethernet socket, and when I dial with the other computer (same virtual dialer) I get internet there.

Thing is, both computers can't have internet at the same time... Only the one who dials gets internet, and if one dialed and the other one tries to dial, it gets wrong username & password.

I wanted to know how can I get both PCs to get internet... How can I skip the whole dial thing? at least on one computer?...
Please help :)

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to purchase a router.

Some modems do allow you to use both Ehternet and USB at the same time. You need to check if the Modem has NAT. Without NAT you are going to need a router.

It says:
"Bridging between the USB and Ethernet port"
Not another word...

What does that mean?
Thanks.

Bridging is not exactly what you want.

Get AnalogX's free proxy. You will have to have the modem connected isp active.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
