hi all,
i have been facing this ismple problems form a long time and i dont know the resoultion ...
i am connected to my ISP via a lan card and it provides me internal ip address (10.13.66.32) and and external dynamic ip address (202.177.xxx.xx).
now the problem is simple, whenever i host a web site on my ip address (ie i install a web server on port 80), my ip address based web site is visible to all other users except me ...
other people can see my port 80 open and can see that a web site is up and running, even a FTP service runs ,
but when i try to open the same from my Pc it never opens up !
is there some kind of internal blocking ???
please help

I am not sure what you mean when you say your ISP is providing you with an external and internal IP address to your LAN card. If your NIC is interfaced directly with your ISP's CPE then you should only be receiving one IP address.
Obviously your friends are referecning your public routable address when they hit your web site. Which IP address are you attempting to browse to (or via DNS) when your attempt fails?
What web server are you running? IIS? Apache? In your configuration make sure that your web server is binded to all IP addresses and interfaces on your machine.

sorry to all if I confused u all
first of all let me clear the details :
whenever I connect to internet via my LAN card i m assigned a dynamic IP that lies in the 202.xxx.xxx.xxx range and the identifies me globally till my session is online .
now the problem is this :
my friends can access my computer using the dynamic ip (202.xx.xx.xx)but i myself can't see my self hosting my site.
like if my friend (anywhere in world) types my ip address he can open my port 80
but
if myself sitting on the same computer (on which the port 80 is open) try to open that ip address it fails !
try ot resolve it now !
forget the internal IP address now (it is the lan ip address that the isp assigns to each of its connectecd nodes and that lis in that 10.13.xx.xx range)

You cannot use your external IP address to see your own computer. Use your loopback address (127.0.0.1) to see your own website.

the for the straight answer , i was looking for this .... :)
but can i have a reason for this ...???
means any net links that say so ???
