Using Home Computer as a Proxy

Specs: Windows XP
Hi guys, ill be going abroad tomorrow and I'll be taking my laptop with me, but I would like to access the internet from abroad with my home computer as a proxy server.

Could some kind soul explain to me what I need to do?

It doesn't quite work that way. You need a connection to the net, in your current location, wherever that may be at the time.

Once you have that, you can use remote desktop to connect to your home PC.

yeah i will have boardband at the place im going to, and isnt remote desktop just operating my home computer from abroad? if so, thats not what im after, i need to use my home connection as a proxy, is my internet traffic goes from the net to my home PC, then to my laptop abroad.
