I have a Linksys befsr41 v.2 cable/dsl router, but in my area, we do not have high speed, only dial-up. So, I would like to use this router as only a hub create a lan between my 2 xp computers and my 1 fedora computer. Anyone have any ideas?

I have 2 laptops hooked up to a befsr41 (1 on w2k; the other on XP). Internet access is fine.
I also run a cat-5 connection to to a HP JetDirect 500X to which I have a HP-G95 all-in-one connected to port 1 and a HP-6P to port 2. I have no problem printing to the 6P with either computer. But neither laptop can access the G85 using the program manager software. The XP laptop can print to the G85 using an embedded protocol in the JetDirect.
HP says to use the latest software (v3.10 which I did) and a hub instead of the router/switch. But they couldn't tell me how to do that. Any ideas?
