Hi,
I'm thinking of getting an ADSL modem/router for my new home because I'm planning on getting an ADSL connection. I'm wondering if I can use it in the meantime to connect my cable modem to and connect to the net wirelessly. There doesn't seem to be an easy way of finding out whether this can be done.
My intention is to ignore the telephone port and plug my cable modem in to one of the RJ45 ports. If the router has an auto uplink port then surely a good router would be capable of routing the traffic and also able to use NAT wirelessly.
Does anyone know of such capable products available in the UK? Netgear is my preference.

Depends on the model. I would suggest that you consider a soho router and also a stand alone adsl modem. Your projected ISP may give the modems away. They do here.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
