I have an ADSL router which serves web to 2 computers. I want the computers to talk to each other as well, so I can share printers and files. How is this done?

As these computers are connecting through the ADSL router, I'm assuming they are on the same hub/switch, and therefore the same network subnet.
If they are Windows machines, you need to set the machines up in the same WORKSGROUP. Go to control panel, system, and then 'Network Identification'. Choose a workgroup name and enter the same name for each PC. Enter a unique computer name.
You should then be able to see the other the other machine in My Network places, or Network Neighbourhood, depending on the version of windows.
You can then right click on drives/folders that you want to share, and allow access from other users.
Hope this helps.
Nat.
